About Me

Therapy is an opportunity to form an alliance with someone who is trained and genuinely committed to helping you navigate both the hard and rewarding work of healing and growth. I would value the opportunity to work alongside you in that process. I offer a warm, safe, and collaborative space where we can explore challenges, build insight, and develop healthier, more sustainable ways of coping.

My approach is client-centered, gently direct, and grounded. I believe in meeting you where you are while also supporting you in moving forward with intention. With patience and compassion, I will hold you accountable to the work you want to do, while honoring your pace and your story. Together, we will focus on strengthening resilience, deepening self-understanding, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

My clinical work is informed by training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), couples therapy, play therapy, and shame- and trauma-informed approaches. I draw from these modalities flexibly to meet your unique needs and goals.

Experience

As my gray hair might suggest, I bring over 25 years of experience working with culturally diverse children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and Elders. My background spans a variety of settings, including skilled rehabilitation and nursing facilities, hospitals, outpatient medical clinics, and community counseling centers.

Throughout my career, I have supported individuals and families navigating complex systems and life circumstances, including involvement in child welfare, military and veteran experiences, and housing instability. I have also worked closely with vulnerable and underserved populations. I both identify with and have meaningful experience working within the LGBTQ+ community, and I strive to provide an affirming, respectful, and inclusive space for all clients.
