ABOUT ME
Thank you for considering me as your counselor.

You are worthy. You are capable. You are not broken. You can get through this. These are phrases that may be hard to believe for all of us at times due to various life experiences, transitions, or circumstances. While partnering with clients I use a mix of approaches, namely cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). The best fit therapy approach coupled with a strength-based perspective is used to support you in managing emotional distress, increasing self-respect, developing and maintaining new skill sets for coping, and navigating through life’s challenges.
My goal is to join you on a client-led journey of discovery, growth, and healing. Passionate about helping others, my essential duty is to provide a safe, respectful, and trusting space with objective, open minded perspective for all clients. As you tap into your ability to empower yourself, I will collaborate with and encourage you along the way.
I truly appreciate working with individuals and families to help them find peace, and acceptance.

EXPERIENCE
My experience as a Social Worker has varied over the last 16 years. I have experience with working families and individuals with a variety of needs. I have worked as a Child Welfare Social Worker for Washington State assisting families in the court system with resources and providing individualized support. Being a family therapist has given me many tools to assist individuals using CBT, ACT and theories of self-determination and strength based perspective. I have also worked as a Family Support Specialist assisting families and individuals with goal setting, child development screenings, family counseling and creating safe supportive environments for individuals and families to grow and learn.
