ABOUT ME

As a clinical social worker, I believe each problem is multi-faceted and can affect many different areas of a person’s life. I believe that once each person has tapped into insight and understanding of their lives through collaboration and therapeutic alliance, they can access their inner resources and experience change.

In order to help my clients achieve the changes they desire, I pull from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, as well as the Gottman Method.

My goal is to provide a supportive environment where we can explore your concerns, develop goals and discover strengths, while providing you with resources to accomplish what is most important to you. I believe a
therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion and authenticity, in and of itself, can be an avenue for
change.

EXPERIENCE

Since receiving my Master’s degree, I have received continuing education, case consultation, and supervision in several areas. Since 2009 I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings with people from all walks of life. Many of my clients were active military personnel, veterans, BIPOC, immigrants/refugees, LGBTQIA+, and populations who routinely encounter systemic oppression. Throughout my career I have also developed a passion for mentoring and supporting other helping professionals who experience secondary trauma and burnout.
